After-school coding and technology clubs

We offer after school provision to schools who are interested in their students learning how to code, build machines and take their place in a digital future.

Our clubs present a number of benefits to schools;

1. We can provide access to computing and robotics products teachers might like to try but are unsure how students might respond.

2. We bring in equipment schools may not have access to (for example, robotics or 3-D printing) and might like to try with students.

3. We can augment computing curriculum in school with creative projects like designing and building games in our after school clubs

Our clubs are taught by experienced instructors, who can enthuse and stimulate all types of students, setting them on the path to new career opportunities or fulfilling life pursuits.

What we do

Students learn coding, game-making, electronics, 3-D design and robot building, some examples of which are shown below.

Students learn how to programme simple AI, like the ‘Random Walker’, who moves across the screen, drawing of their own volition.

Pong is a classic arcade game, which students learn how to code in order to understand player control, movement and collision, all key facets of game design.

>>>> Students will learn how to use 3D design platform TinkerCAD in order to create detailed 3D models. These can either be printed out using a 3D printer or converted into Minecraft blocks .
